crazyarab 6 Report post Posted December 28, 2009 After last weeks track day, the car started veering to the right pretty hard and I assumed it must have been a wheel alignment issue. Took it into the tyre shop today and got the alignment done but it's still doing the same thing. I don't remember hitting any curbs or spinning out or anything along those lines so I hope nothing is bent... any ideas on what could be the culprit? sp8s 1 Report post Posted December 28, 2009 Try tyre rotation - left to right on the front. Sometimes tyre casings twist and want to go in one direction. If nothing is bent/twisted in the suspension I would say its the tyre.
westy 614 Report post Posted December 28, 2009 Maybe also: Sticking brake caliper, check it spins easily. Worn wheel bearing, check movement in and out, top to bottom. Tyre may have lower pressure. Guessing games tho.

Apex Effects 3 Report post Posted December 29, 2009 Maybe also: Sticking brake caliper, check it spins easily. Worn wheel bearing, check movement in and out, top to bottom. Tyre may have lower pressure. Guessing games tho. id say these options tooalso to add to the tyre pressure one. if it lower than the others or pulling hard consider checking for a puncture. oscar90 0 Report post Posted December 29, 2009 maybe it wore a old suspension bush alot so its all lose and sloppy now??
crazyarab 6 Report post Posted December 29, 2009 (edited) It veers all the time and is a bit "wobbly" come to think of it. Perhaps it is something to do with a bearing or suspension. Will jack it up and have a good look tomorrow. Edited December 29, 2009 by crazyarab
Mark 178 Report post Posted December 29, 2009 Track rod / tie rod end has come loose or needs new balljoints etc? Failing that just adjust your driving style to accommodate
Grant 4 Report post Posted December 29, 2009 If it were veering to the left, the easy answer would be just to start racing NASCAR.
antil33t 90 Report post Posted December 29, 2009 (edited) ^ LOL Maybe the tyre is internally stuffed? It happened to mums car once... You could definately feel it pull hard. Put your spare on/swap wheels around and see if it changes anything. Edited December 29, 2009 by antil33t
_ethrty-Andy_ 2132 Report post Posted December 30, 2009 mine does the same thing just to the left. new tyres, rims, bearings, brake disks and brake pads didnt fix it. Got an alignment and took the car back and they said they didnt know what the issue was but realigned it for free and tierods etc looked good to them. Just about the only thing i havent done is the bushes which will be done soon
