Ta, I've updated the photos now, just had to find the rest of them... A car like this gets a lot of hits and attention on TM but quite often people are reluctant to purchase them haha.

how much HP does it have?

Well its pretty much a stock engine, running standard boost (the boost controller is currently plumbed back into itself).

According to Wikipedia the CA18DET "produces 169 hp (124 kW) and 166 lb·ft (228 Nm)" so I'd say its still around that mark now, although I haven't had it tested. It does pull pretty well though. With a bit of modification that can go up steeply without too much money spent though. If you replace the turbo with a T28 and a few other simple mods you can get a lot more power, but It was plenty powerful for me.

why would u do that???

whats wrong with bmw engines?

It's quite simple.

M40B18 = 115 PS (85 kW; 113 hp) (standard)

CA18DET = 169 hp (124 kW) 166 lb·ft (228 Nm)

The CA18DET has more power, which is obviously why the swap was made.

If you don't have anything constructive to say, don't post.

Quoted for truth. The CA18DET is also a lot easier and cheaper to get more power out of as well, if you need/want it.

Its a Japanese engine too, so its _generally_ cheaper and easier to repair or find parts for too. All things are relative though.

your engine bay is even roomier than my 316's. and alot simpler compared to a bm engine. Damn the japanese know how to be efficient.
