CaM 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2005 Dan/Carl you should price it up through an engineering firm such as seaview engineering or something (I think they're in lower hutt, old job used to do a bit for them) if you're willing to wait a little while for them they might do them as a perk job in their weekends or something... Lewis' (speedye30) dad has/works in a engineering place doesnt he????? might be an avenue worth exploring also...... Can't be that hard to make them up, my old man has done a couple in his time and they came out ok, adjustable and everything, should ask him if he's keen..... Grant 4 Report post Posted February 11, 2005 Ahhhhh. I've just clicked. Macpherson struts. Brace = Strut brace. Does it stop them moving around or something? EmmaYou are not quite right, but nice assumption anyway . Go to page 2 of this thread, last post is a picture of my front Racing Dynamics Strut Brace. It goes between the two strut towers, over the engine and reduces the flex in the car during cornering. Cheers

bmwsparkle 3 Report post Posted February 11, 2005 makes sense to have them on the rear strut towers
CaM 0 Report post Posted February 11, 2005 not really because all you are doing is stiffening the shock mounts, which wouldn't even flex anyway rear subframe would keep it all in check fairly well....... e30s don't run a strut setup at the rear huh? Carl 3 Report post Posted February 21, 2005 FYI, Glenn's option of getting the good 1pc struts from the states is looking better every day as the kiwi keeps gaining on the greenback and is expected to rise to 75c as the US markets continue to weaken...
