Wom 0 Report post Posted March 17, 2010 I'm sort of wondering what Japanese cars (if any) will gain herotic classic status... like the Datsun 240Z, HR31 Skylines ect... Nothing really nowdays seems to me that they're gonna last that long. If I had to make a bet I'd say the rarer Skylines would fall into that categoryR33 Nismo 400R R34 GT-R Mspec Nür R35 GTR SpecV As for the RS200, pick a figure and double it I guess.LOL yea pretty much
[email protected] 0 Report post Posted March 18, 2010 (edited) Pretty amazing actually. But it would be interesting to see how well the cars would work after all this time sitting. Complete service for everything that breaks down, fluids and rubbers... I would imagine the engine seals would be fine though? bravo 35 Report post Posted March 18, 2010 I do wonder and if I knew I would be a fortune teller... We didn’t know Group A was near dead .... You would have been what? 12years old?
Apex 693 Report post Posted March 18, 2010 You would have been what? 12years old? Yep. And I was the biggest fan in the world, dad and his mates had a lot of the Group-A error cars, Nissan Skyline GTR’s, M3’s, Cosies, couple of them had the Group-A Commodores, road trips to the Nissan Mobil 500 in wellington in them, and I remember them trading up to new models as you would a late model equivalent these days without a second thought of what they would be worth in a few years, they were not as much a hero car back then a you would like to imagen, hell an average E30 M3 was worth nothing as late as 2000, so yea as a complete car obsessive as a kid I have a fond very clear recollection of these cars, I remember going in a brand new Black E30 M3 in the 80’s, I remember going for a ride in the Brand New Group-A SS from Schoffields. Another cool memory I have is going on the press launch of the Nissan Godzilla after the 1989/90 Auckland car show, they had a Burgundy GTR and a red 300ZX, they were the first in NZ.. Lucky to have a old man that was a car nut and competitive with his mates, gotta keep up with the joneses what what
