E30 Horn gone pls help.

Okay so we swapped over the steering column covers on my dads e30, which required us to take off the steering wheel. When we were putting on the new plastic covers the cars horn would just go on and off randomly when it stopped we put the columns on and the steering wheel and now there is no horn at all.

Any ideas on what it could be ?

Sorry what do you mean by this ? i have checked the fuse and its okay.

Theres a wire underside (i think??) of the steering wheel thats pushed onto a terminal. Could have come off ?
