VeeDub 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2010 (edited) They're 16x7 and 16x8 BBS RS243 and RS310 et 33, 4x114.3 Would be ideal to run adaptors on an E30 to give a nice low offset. Lips need to be polished to come up really good. All centre caps, no buckles or bends! $800 Edited April 26, 2010 by VeeDub

Guest Simon* Report post Posted April 26, 2010 They would look mighty fine on my car. You have a car Graham??? Nobody's ever seen it though
VeeDub 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2010 It is the wrong stud pattern for your 4x100 e30 so you will need to run adaptors. If you run 20mm adaptors you'll get final offset of around 13ish which as far as I know is pretty nice? The 8" wheels have deeper lips than the 7"s, if this is a problem for you you can buy deeper lips overseas.

Apex 693 Report post Posted April 26, 2010 (edited) Haha thanks but I just want to pose, not go fast around corners or have any stopping ability What adapter is needed?? Edited April 26, 2010 by Apex
VeeDub 0 Report post Posted April 26, 2010 Haha thanks but I just want to pose, not go fast around corners or have any stopping ability What adapter is needed?? 4x114.3 to 4x100. Widely available at Mag and Turbo, Trademe, Driven Performance etc. Usually around $180 for a pair. You can specify which thickness you want too which determines the final offset. JiB 2 Report post Posted April 26, 2010 Don't forget you'll have to find low profile bolts to fit in the adaptors...I think I still have a bag of short studs/nuts that I used to use somewhere - I went to bolts to reduce compliance for racing. Also remember to get the insides of the adaptors hubcentric and go for a common size hubcentric outerlip too! You'll need a cert too (soyoumightaswellgetbiggerbrakesandawesomesuspension )

JiB 2 Report post Posted April 27, 2010 Can we haz a pic of the rear of the wheels Scalloped or flat back is the reason? They're scalloped...No re-drilling Chucked them on the composite scales in the workshop. 16x7's = 7.72kg 16x8's = 7.88kg Will try get some pics tonight on the e30. Lucan 196 Report post Posted April 27, 2010 Oh well the less E30's with RS's the better i say

You buy them in the end? I thought scalloped only mattered for a "fill n drill".. re-drill to 4x100 should be fine no?
Lucan 196 Report post Posted April 27, 2010 "Scalloped" means there's kind of a raised area around each hole. If you re-drill to 4x100, the holes would go in between the existing holes and go through to a recessed area on the rear of the wheel face...not a good idea apparently... JiB 2 Report post Posted April 27, 2010 (edited) Here's pics on an E30 as requested. The wheels didn't fit my brakes The front ones were just resting on the calipers in the photos So this means that the wheels are sitting about 5mm further out than they would with a 20mm adaptor. The two photos from the front are the 7" and the 8". I was planning on running a reverse stagger (I'm not joking). "Scalloped" means there's kind of a raised area around each hole. If you re-drill to 4x100, the holes would go in between the existing holes and go through to a recessed area on the rear of the wheel face...not a good idea apparently... No it's definitely not a good idea. Because you end up with a gap between the hub and the wheel's mounting surface = big bending moment = snapped wheel studs/bolts amongst other things. VeeDub 0 Report post Posted April 27, 2010 Yes they are scalloped so you can't redrill this set. Look like they sit nicely with the adaptors! Still for sale ladies and gentlemen.
