Gotheschu 1 Report post Posted June 9, 2010 (edited) Saw this beast parked by the paddock enterance at the Melbourne GP and just thought I'd show you guys. The Ozzies do prepare epic cars cars and this one looks tidy!! They're GT Series is so good. Ascari's, Lamborghinis, Ferraris, E92 M3s its petrol head heaven there!!! Enjoy Me with the beast but it shows a different angle which isn't hard to see since Im pretty skinny. [EDIT] Might as well add in some pics of the F1 itself. So hard to see Schumacher with all the crowd beating eachother up to get a glimpse!! Edited June 9, 2010 by Gotheschu

Driftit 2078 Report post Posted June 9, 2010 Wow that really is a beaut M3. Would be up there with the B&H cars of the early 90's of which I love.
E30 325i Rag-Top 2959 Report post Posted June 10, 2010 Quite a good looking E30 M3, would be interesting to know what was under the bonnet, was it running on track at all? There are certainly better E30 M3 race cars in NZ, I would say that one wouldn't even make my top 3 (engine department pending).. 1) Denny Hulme's B&H M3 from Bathurst 2) Conrod's new car (from what I hear ) 3) Conrod's old Bastos car. When you are in the race series you will see a few more of the E30 M3s and there are some real nice ones, with more to come (hopefully ).
Gotheschu 1 Report post Posted June 10, 2010 Awesome Smile Jack you're at the GP! Lewis Hamilton was walking past and I was watching him. Forgot about the photo. You get lost in the atmosphere.

M Power 0 Report post Posted June 18, 2010 That M3 appears to be the one Brock drove in '88 (in this livery) and before that was one of the JPS M3's driven by Richards in 87. Certainly has some race history in Oz. It was based in the South Is for a while and sometimes ran at Ruapuna. It's for sale here, you got your cheque book handy? http://www.my105.com/classified.asp?id=11421
Golfboy666GTI 68 Report post Posted June 18, 2010 (edited) If that E30 M3 is the real deal (which Im guessing it is) its the ex Peter Brock M3 that he raced in 1988 after his spit with Holden. The two M3's that Brock ran in '88 were the ex'87 JPS M3's of Frank Gardener. Jim Richards, David Parsons and Neil Crompton raced the second Mobil M3. Listen to the S14 engine revving its tits off: Edited June 18, 2010 by Golfboy666GTI
M Power 0 Report post Posted June 18, 2010 There are certainly better E30 M3 race cars in NZ, I would say that one wouldn't even make my top 3 (engine department pending).. I think a Bathurst winning M3 and one driven by both Jim Richards and Peter Brock would certainly be up there!
