Guest BimmerzE36 Report post Posted June 30, 2010 Have anyone here faced that issue where sometimes the bimmer keeps reeving and wont go outta 2nd or 3rd gear? but when you put it to neutral and back at gear (D) it works? I have also faced that "engine check light" 3rd gear lock down problem a few times. Anyone have any tips or suggestions? greatly appreciated.

danutt 4 Report post Posted June 30, 2010 could just be the valve body or tcu (transmition control unit) have it scanned might give the code for either fault it could save you some pennies, if not then go for a replacement box hope that helps
