JiB 2 Report post Posted August 9, 2010 For future reference - I'm not at all keen on adding money on top of the touring in swaps. Unless it's for a manual m3 sedan. Evolution. In Estoril. Otherwise, cash my way is entirely welcome. Have I made it difficult enough yet?
antil33t 90 Report post Posted August 9, 2010 I see, you're making it so difficult to get rid of.... your girlfriend/parents might leave you alone and you get to keep it? That's a good plan IMO.

Apex 693 Report post Posted August 9, 2010 Na mate do it yourself, get a few of the boys around, few beers and bobs your uncle. It would be a first on Bimmersport. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-309280697.htm I really can’t see a dilemma here, women and parents will believe anything and with your automotive engineering qualifications im sure the wool can be pulled. Save women making the decisions for later in life when you no longer care.

JiB 2 Report post Posted September 9, 2010 Going for something that I can go snowboarding in (awd), trackdays, comfy, quiet, good brakes, good handling, lots of revs to play with. And new lol. Only one car that ticks all of the above in the 10-14k bracket....it's really ugly though

JiB 2 Report post Posted September 9, 2010 You forgot airbags Jonathan Lol its got two! Even scored lots of stars in the safety tests etc. (Was abysmal in the economy ratings though.) ...don't actually want to post up what I'm getting as it's somewhat embarrassing. Apex 693 Report post Posted September 9, 2010 I got it. Its all I can think of that can rev and is AWD. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-312540362.htm

I should add to the list that I like torque almost 400nm of it even. And its gotta be manual! I'll post it up if the prepurchase inspection goes well tomorrow. Apex 693 Report post Posted September 9, 2010 You really have me stumped, and I know it all. This is going to bug me. Seriously Is it a Turbo? Would say a Stagia with some work done but not many rev to 8k
$toffz 0 Report post Posted September 9, 2010 Im thinking STI V7, its AWD and has 8k red line, airbags as well i think. Great cars, but yea the looks.... (Cant see trademe link at work)

Apex 693 Report post Posted September 9, 2010 Do they rev to 8, always thought that was great optimism, even I want one now. Do do you know something? My link was a shitty Honda as I know Jono has a penchant for Honda’s and V-Tec. Could be on the ball, I keep thinking how the heck do you get revs and torque without displacement?? Forrest 35 Report post Posted September 9, 2010 This is all I could think of, here is my guess: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-307107066.htm Revs to 8k, 4WD, air bags, new (ish), plenty of power, in the price bracket
JiB 2 Report post Posted September 9, 2010 Im thinking STI V7, its AWD and has 8k red line, airbags as well i think. Great cars, but yea the looks.... (Cant see trademe link at work) Haha, bang on. Do they rev to 8, always thought that was great optimism, even I want one now. Do do you know something? My link was a shitty Honda as I know Jono has a penchant for Honda’s and V-Tec. Could be on the ball, I keep thinking how the heck do you get revs and torque without displacement?? Guilty as charged - went to see some type R's but couldn't justify the money when a slowbaru was the same money. Yup they rev to 8, but to be honest most of the poke is gone by 7 and a bit rpm in standard.I also went to see some 328's but couldn't really deal with the looks and the falling apart interiors. Lol. This is all I could think of, here is my guess: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-307107066.htm Revs to 8k, 4WD, air bags, new (ish), plenty of power, in the price bracket that legacy is not a bad deal, but not very exciting in terms of track day ability.
