Wont Start

Recommended Posts

My E30 wont start....

Im quite sure its the battery but i have tried to jump it and it still wont start. As my car usually takes a bit to start and the jumper leads were cheap small ones im thinkning this mite be why.

It turns over but dosent start, will this be the battery?

I have been told the battery was on its last legs so does this mean its gone, or could this be something worse?

Help please.

Thanks

If it's turning over via the battery, then it's probably not the battery! If that's the case it could be a number of things...plugs, leads etc etc

As Cliff has said. You need to be more specific.... it could be one of many things. If your mechanical aptitude is not the best, I suggest you get a professional to check it for you.

What was wrong ??

It was the battery. Cause i knew it was in need of a new one, i started with that before getting anyone to look at it. Put the new battery in and it started like a treat.

An infortmative video I saw suggested it could be the 'dizzy cap'.
