necsis 27 Report post Posted September 15, 2010 (edited) 1993 E34 540i Hi I was having a fiddle under the bonnet yesterday when i was checking my windscreen washer sprayer system etc, I opened the cover on fuse box and had a quick glance etc. Saw the big black module thing The one with the white writing on it Photo: http://www.google.co.nz/imgres?imgurl=http...=1t:429,r:4,s:0 Sorry for the stupid link. So i took it out to have a look, placed it back in carefully, finished off the windscreen washing fix up. Started the car up to put it back into the shed and the little orange light on the dash would not go out, it stayed solid, i press the ASC button a few times. Re seated the black module, disconnected the battery for 30 minutes, no go. Still stays lit up. Can anyone help? *Glenn* 854 Report post Posted September 15, 2010 If you took the CCM out with the ignition on you will have triggered an error code. It would need to be scanned and the error code cleared.

Hmm i'm pretty sure i had the ignition off, but anyway. Can i clear them myself? or do you need a special "BMW" tool? Thanks for your help BTW

Driftit 2078 Report post Posted September 16, 2010 You will need someone with a decent diagnostic scanner. Local BMW/Euro specialist will have one.
