E39 Twin Exhaust Pipes?

Hi

I was wondering how much I would be looking at to replace the single pipe with a dual outlet without modifying the rear bumper? And also will this change the exhaust noise at all?

Preferring cheaper options, if possible also advantages and disadvantages of different options.

Your best bet is to go to a Muffler shop and talk to them,

Cut & reduce the size of the rear tire well, then put an M5 rear exhaust setup on it, best way to do it.

Then get one of those M5 puncture repair kits since you wont have a spare.

Room would be the issue M5 idea would be best, pretty busy under the E39 not alot of room.

AA could be wrong.

I've been through a few warrents with no spare tyre in the boot. I could have been lucky.

While it may look nice there isn't really a need for quad pipes on a 325

Last time I checked that was not the case. If you have a spare it must be located correctly, have enough tread etc..

Pretty sure the only requirement for a wof regarding the spare is that if there is a spare wheel, it must be secure.

I got this impression too.

I've passed with out spares in the past.
