bravo 35 Report post Posted October 7, 2010 Saw this at work last week languishing in a paddock...
39KiwiTouring 2 Report post Posted October 8, 2010 It's all over for that one I suspect. It makes you wonder, that has been sitting at least 12-20 years at aguess. Who parks up cars worth thousands of dollars smack bang in the middle of a paddock like that?
briancol 3 Report post Posted October 8, 2010 I see it still has it's plates. I wonder if the rego is on hold.

Apex 693 Report post Posted October 8, 2010 What that he likes really large undesirable cars Is funny that the weeds have been sprayed around it. They made those relics up until the 80’s didn’t they.
CamB 48 Report post Posted October 8, 2010 Not the 420 - that was replaced by the XJ6 which is the relic you speak of. I had one (and XJ6, although the 420 is mechanically similar) for a while. Awesome to drive. Expensive to fill. Rusted to death.
nath 134 Report post Posted October 8, 2010 I love finding cars like that! I prefer rundown cars to mint ones. The 420G was'nt succeeded by anything, but like all jags at the time it shared the basic XK engine. The XJ6 replaced the MkII/340/S-type. We recently bought a fully restored original low mileage 250 V8 saloon which is proving quite fun!

I think you mean the Daimler Limousine which was based on the MKX/420g... they made them up until the late 80's much like the mercedes
