M5V8 337 Report post Posted December 6, 2010 I see so the blub glass is white rather than orange. Where do you get these from? edit: a search has found repco narva blubs Repco wellington doesn't seem to have any. Anyone know the part # for front & rear blubs? And what store may still have some? Looks like it maybe a special order unless another store has some.
lidistick 70 Report post Posted December 6, 2010 (edited) http://www.narva.com.au/products/browse/stoptail-indicator BMW #no is :47384. I believe it has offset pins. Just look at Fig 4 to see stealth bulb. Edit:http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index.php?showtopic=15596&st=0 Looks like part no is 47385BL. Tristan 338 Report post Posted December 6, 2010 I just sandpapered the orange tint off my rear ones with fine ass paper. Probably illegal but I'm fairly sure indicators only have to be amber on the front? Anyway I'll get onto real stealths at some point...

Forrest 35 Report post Posted December 6, 2010 (edited) I have heard of people giving orange bulbs a (very) light dusting of silver paint as an alternative of buying the 'stealth' bulbs. On topic though, car looks great, best color for a E39, just leave it alone and drive it Edited December 6, 2010 by Brams

Yup definatly want to stay unmolested, only major mod/retrofit will be the TV/NAV and that will all be transplanted from a donor so will look 100% stock.
