Deftones 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2005 You might want to check for malware on your pc: Click here for Adaware There are a few free tools out there which will search your registry and kill any browser nasties. Let us know if you need more help. Or else format your HDD and reinstall everything

CaM 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2005 Err, have you tried anonymizer or if you use Firefox you can use a proxy server plug-in. anonymizer??? hah, whats that?
Deftones 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2005 anonymizer??? hah, whats that? anonymiser sounds like an anonymous proxy server. That isn't going to help you here, but maybe in the future.Try updating the malware finders that you have (as most need updating). Failing that, go to google and type in what the exact webpage is that you are being hijacked to and mention browser hijack and you may find a way to go into your registry and edit the right key. CaM 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2005 uh, it's not hijacking me to anywhere or anything like that, it just stops loading pages, i.e: wont start loading the second part of the new post search etc.... hard to explain...

Deftones 0 Report post Posted April 13, 2005 my bad... didn't read it properly. I personally use Firefox as well. You may just need to update your version of IE to 6. Easier just to download firefox and install

Carl 3 Report post Posted April 13, 2005 cheers, firefox worked a treat  Firefox is the shizzleJust be sure you don't set the popup blocker to block popups on the sites that you want as that can affect certain sites but is good for stopping those unwanted ad screens which generally contain NWS material
