Aftermarket Wheels with Airbag

I'm always keeping an eye out for ideas for future mods for my E36

Something I noticed in my mate's Evo is a Momo airbag wheel, which I thought looked rather awesome

I realise that they are factory Mitsi items that Momo supplied the parts for,

but that got me thinking, if they can supply Mitsi with airbag wheels, then surely there would be an aftermarket product out there

it will be way down the track until I purchase something like this, got a few other things I want to take care of first, but no harm in planning ahead lol

has anyone seen anything like this on a beemer?

do-able?

need to win lotto first?

I've seen E36's with E46 M3 steering wheel conversions.... no idea if the airbag still works though and how much work is involved.

I think the E46 wheels looks obese, much like all the E36 3 spoke airbag wheels

I hate those humongous centre sections

the only factory E36 wheel I like is this one http://www.rdautosport.com/Ebay2005/E46M3SWAB20s.jpg

I don't love it though, and would like some more options to choose from

I have that, with a wear patch in the leather, trying to figure out how/if to repair/recover it.

the more I look at that wheel the more I like it

probably would be a heck of a lot easier to fit than an aftermarket wheel (if I were to ever find one lol!!)

Our E46 has that wheel OEM. + Cruise controls and stereo controls.

Have just removed my airbag wheel, only way to get around it is to install a full roll cage, race seats and harnesses and obtain a authority card.
