DrphTa 5 Report post Posted April 2, 2011 Tried to put my old headunit in today (Fusion Ipod docking).. before I could even get it out of the box I had trouble getting my original one out. The idiot before me must of had a go and has broken all the clips on the stereo loom/adaptor if you will. The apaptor is actually broken in the back of the headunit. It would not come out with force. I used alot.. Any ideas? Dont really wana start cutting Will get a picture tonight
BM WORLD 1285 Report post Posted April 2, 2011 you will need to move the slider over for it to push the plug out. bring it around if you want have done a few like that. 021433600
DrphTa 5 Report post Posted April 3, 2011 (edited) Cheers Brent, but bringing it around is not an option I have no slider anyway, it has been broken off. See picture Edited April 3, 2011 by DrphTa
Greg111 13 Report post Posted April 3, 2011 It does look mongralled a bit, as Brent said there should be a slide clip on it to release, if not then it is more than likely broken, better to just cut the plug off and rewire it to the new unit.

Greg111 13 Report post Posted April 4, 2011 That's what i did with mine, also ipod docking, just hard wired the headunit plug to vehicle wiring.
DrphTa 5 Report post Posted April 4, 2011 I might do this, although I could go and cut an original harness out of a wrecked e36 and wire it back up. So i have the option to put the standard headunit back in. hmm
