Welcome to the forums,

For 2nd hand parts, check out Ray at HELLBM. He's one of the sponsors on here and is a fantastic guy to deal with with great prices!

Look in the sponsor section, he just got in a whole lot of stock for e46 :)

Early m52tu engines don't have fly(drive) by wire.

Why do you need to replace the steering rack?

Welcome

Why replace a worn part with a second hand worn part, doesn’t make sense, you could end up having to replace it again within a year and no wrecker will give you a warranty. Back at square one.

Do it properly first time around. It can be rebuilt.. Stronger...Faster.

If you are in South Auckland I can recommend this guy. He did some work for me and was very fair and honest.

I am in the process of having it rebuilt as we speak. I was looking for other 2nd hand parts Ie Front colum right hand side door trim and possibly a steering wheel
