Recommended Posts

Does anyone have a tool for inspection lights for Pre-Facelift E30's? Or do i have to try this DIY grounding with a pin ?

Cheers Andrew

I have reset with a bit of wire before with no issues, seems like an unnecessary expense to get a tool to do it tbh

I have been looking at getting one of these for the task

BMW Reset Tool / Diagnostics

Ive got that, but it only resets/scans the 20 pin not the prefacelift e30's

I have also reset my E30 a few times, also a E36TI with a piece of wire. Just make sure to double check you are connecting the correct pins.

It's dead easy.

If not, boom.

If not, boom.

I dont think it is quite as dangerous as defusing a bomb.

If you dont trust your self, use a piece of fused wire.

Your local BMW dealership.

They sometimes do it for free/cheap if they like you enough.
