sp8s 1 Report post Posted January 11, 2012 If I was closer I would be on your doorstep yesterday. Why you only list as motor? surely whole thing worth more. And of course the silly question - What is wrong with the box?
*Glenn* 854 Report post Posted January 11, 2012 (edited) Something is broken on the gear selector inside. The AA damaged the shift cable when it wouldn't go into gear. We fitted a new cable however there is a fault inside. The owner doesnt want to fix it, so we havent even taken the pan off to see whats wrong. Car is surplus to his needs. I thought this would be ideal for anyone wanting to do a E30 M50 conversion, because all the engine goodies are on this car. Edit: I had the car driving back & forth in the workshop, but the gearchange was very stiff. I tried freeing it up once the engine & box warmed up by moving it back & forth and something inside let go. So I'm not too sure whats going on inside. Michael. 2313 Report post Posted January 11, 2012 Very nice. An E34 with that mileage looks too good to scrap once the engines out, would make an ideal shell for a bigger E34 motor!
