Steve K-B 51 Report post Posted June 23, 2012 So it turns out there are two E46 arms.... M sport and standard. I think the differences are that the M sport arms use better quality ball joints? Im so over the internet! Any one share any light on this? Cheers
Michael. 2313 Report post Posted June 23, 2012 I would have thought they would be slightly different lengths to change the front wheel castor. Pretty sure thats the case with the E36 M3 vs non M ones for instance...
thorburn 121 Report post Posted June 23, 2012 (edited) Are you trying to get more lock or just more track width? Hope you've got something to dial that camber back in Quality of ball joints depends on the part manufacturer. M sport has the same gear afaik M3 and M sport are 2 different things Edited June 23, 2012 by Thorburn

Looking at realoem.com, some of the E46 have different part numbers between the "For vehicles with M Sports package II" and what I suppose is the usual E46 arm. allan 295 Report post Posted June 23, 2012 Hi Steve, is this any help http://www.allgermanparts.co.uk/ourshop/pr...1122282122.html. It would appear that the M-tech arms replace the standard part, 31 12 2 282 121 and 122 with 31 12 6 777 851 and 852 Pelican have them around the 200US if your interested. my_e36 43 Report post Posted July 19, 2012 (edited) There were 2 LCA bushes sizes when I tried to replaced them with Nolathane. Turns out my car with the M-sport suspension uses a bigger bushes of the 2 sizes in the catalogue. I guess with the M-sport arm, it's stiffer and helps holding the suspension geometry stable during hard corning?
