Hey how did you remove the insert for the rear plate holder to fit the Europlate (or was it already gone) - brute force or is there an easier way? Nice car btw, would have liked a 530 but couldn't find one that ticked the boxes when we were shopping.

Hard to tell on RealOEM.com but it looks like a couple screws behind the number plate hold it on.

Mine was already gone, so not too sure.

No but thanks for those links. There are no visible screws under the plate, but there is a kind of plastic clip that holds it on the outside then pokes through a hole in the holder and then through the boot lid to the inside of the bootlid (under the trim) where there are what appear to be little knobbly heads that hold it all together on the inside. What I want to find out is wether there is a graceful way of removing these (in case say you had to re attach cause you got into trouble with PC Plod for not having legal plates)or you just have to rip the thing off.
