yeah, mounting points are different.

They just said that they will have a look at it. I have taken it to someone here in Christchurch if they will give me a good quote and will guarantee that it will work like new I will go with them. But I would really want to go with BOSCH to be honest.

Have you looked at replacing it with another unit? Like Bosch or anything similar from a different BMW model?

All I did one time when I was having issues with mine not charging in the s50b32, was go through a bunch of m50/m52/m54 ones and none of them fit. In the end I opened up the unit and it turned out to be some shorted out wires... corrected that and it was all good.

Not sure about aftermarket sorry.
