hybrid 1043 Report post Posted April 26, 2013 CCFL wont last as long as LED and are kind of rubbish as far as brightness is concerned. However most LED rings have average diffusion rings and you can see the spaces in-between the LEDs. Just a few things too look out for. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

dr_kahu 8 Report post Posted April 27, 2013 (edited) CCFL was okay, a lil bit rubbish but at least you get a 'continuous' ring. However, these days i think you can get some with a higher LED count so its not too noticeable, plus some vendors design their rings to diffuse the light better. The issue with LED is that if one of the bulbs go, its noticeable, whereas with CCFL the whole thing goes on the blink. And, if your car does the periodic checking of bulbs you will get strobing (you can fix this though) when driving which looks a bit ghetto but whatever.
