deeveus 81 Report post Posted April 29, 2013 First one I've ever seen too lol!!! Add some wheels, a badge and it's an Alpina. The only one in the world infact. Visit My Website
Ahmedsinc 414 Report post Posted April 29, 2013 About as genuine as the GTR badge I have on my shed wall. I do rather like the rims though! Those chrome trims around the tail lights are all class
Michael. 2313 Report post Posted April 29, 2013 Hmmm is it really one? Looks like it just has the wheels... Can't quite tell but looks like steering wheel has standard BMW badge... shouldn't there be an Alpina badge there?
allan 295 Report post Posted April 29, 2013 Would it tell you on the vehicle build sheet? DQP 518 LN83706 First Rego NZ 18 October 2006 Sept 2001 Japan Assembled July 2001 X5 E53 4.4i M62
Ahmedsinc 414 Report post Posted April 29, 2013 I was under the impression that aftermarket enhancements do not appear on the VIN sheet. Although Alpina & AC Schnitzer are endorsed by the factory any changes made to the cars would not have any effect to the original build spec. Though I could (and frequently am) be wrong
Mr2low 57 Report post Posted April 29, 2013 (edited) you'd think itd look closer to the alpina xd3 http://www.autoblog.com/2013/03/07/alpina-...bo-geneva-2013/ funny how the title clearly says "Alpina tunes its first crossover, XD3 Bi-Turbo" Edited April 29, 2013 by Mr2low
Allanw 1071 Report post Posted April 29, 2013 Alpina also deveoped the 4.6is and 4.8is engines for the X5... wouldn't you think they'd have used one of them instead of the 4.4??? So many dreamers. He probably beliveved the guy who sold it to him...
deeveus 81 Report post Posted April 29, 2013 There was a Le Mans powered V12 X5, but was never put into production.
Ahmedsinc 414 Report post Posted April 29, 2013 They're certainly genuine rims though.... 10" front & 11.5" rear. 285/35/21 & 325/30/21...... reckon a new set of those would be worth more than what I make in a month!
