BS price 2100

To the point it's a white automatic 325i SE with 309,000km going strong, has a few good points including
New wof (12/01/2014 expiry)
SE 3 spoke wheel
foglights
Front lip
colour coded mirrors
rear spoiler
sunroof
working on board computer with LED backlight conversion (quite proud of this :) )
all 4 settings on the heater fan work
brakes and rotors have been replaced
new bushings in front
think it has a BMW sound system upgrade but not 100%
nice pioneer stereo/cd player with an AUX in for ipod/phone/media player
new front seats, quite nice wide ones on standard rails with full reclining back (not fixed buckets)
early pre facelift motor on 1.3 motronic ecu (150,000 on unit)
fully serviced, all fluids new
new tyres 1000km ago

There are some other not so good points to note
couple small dents and paint chips (hard to avoid being it was a daily for a while)
some dash cracking

I can add pics of anything specific if you ask. I'll get pics of the engine and OBC when it's not dark outside

This is the replacement engine before it went in, everything got painted. Rear main seals and things you can't do without gearbox/engine removal were done. Threw a new belt and stuff on it, painted the timing covers and clipped everything down; nice and clean. This thing is ready to rock for quite some miles more, I've been driving it back and forth between auckland and hamilton no problem.

In the pics there are no fogs because one bulb was blown at the WOF and the quickest remedy that I could drive it out that day was to just unclip them and they said that was fine. Back in with new bulbs, just forgot when taking pictures.

Cheers for looking

Bump up, I've put this on trademe now. Anyone who wants to know more or has any questions post them up and I'll answer. I've buffed it with a real buff (not a supersheep one, proper $300 variable speed buffer) and a 3 step cut/finish/wax setup. Car is ready to roll so throw some bids in and don't underestimate how much work I've put into this car.

It's a cool car, be neat if I had the time to put a manual setup in it but I'm busy studying so it's not practical for me to make it into a project.

Looks reasonably tidy for kms!

Just one point - that's not a Mtech I steering wheel.

On another note, look at the first bidder's username "bmwssuck" haha

Oh it isn't? They look the same? 3 spoke kinda thingy. I've no idea the difference between wheels to be honest. I don't know enough about specifics but I can correct it if you know the name of it.

Thanks for the comment.

All good then, I do have a 4 spoke laying around off another car and it's 100x nicer than that.

I see auctions like that with bids from a new account, no feedback and think "shill bidder"

I would not bother with such bids and keep the auction looking legit.

They're blacklisted, the profile name is Shae and it's someone I've blacklisted before for messing with my auctions. They've made a new account, I'd have to ask trademe to remove the bid and ban the account. I'll see if they can and maybe block the IP. I'm not really having a giggle over it

Good luck with the sale, looks like an O.K car, with Basket weaves and an OEM interior it would be more appealing and probably fetch a bit more.

yours is the sport steering wheel

http://www.rtsauto.com/e30-steering-wheel-options/

Have always know it as the "SE" wheel as it seems to be the wheel that comes on "SE" cars, I have no idea what the "sport" package is either, a set of Golf Clubs and a Rugby ball perhaps?

Buy it and I'll throw in the oldest most broken set of golfclubs you've ever seen. Don't have a rugby ball though sorry, $20 refund if it's that important :P

I like you chase but next time im in auckland we are going to have to talk about what you did to the poor intake manifold...

For the low bid price of $1001 you can do whatever you want to the intake manifold and I'll even help.

As for OEM interior and weaved wheels, eh. Seats that have that have done high kms have tears and aren't really a sell point either, popping for good OEM seats isn't doesn't make sense to me cause I love the ones it has. Wheels are really up to the owner, it's mostly stock and that's how I like it. The nature of car culture is whoever buys it can do as they wish :)

Bump up, auction ends in about 5 hours. It's still cheap as, would leave plenty in the budget to do a manual conversion. I got trademe to sort that first pillock but there are still some noobies and one -1 rep person bidding, I really don't want to be messed around if I can help it so bids from more solid members are very welcome :)

Edit:

Also here is the working OBC, ain't she purdy in red.

I gave the guy with negative feedback the benefit of the doubt because he phoned me first and gave me details, seemed good.

Turns out he was an utter time waster, wanted me to pay for a garage to look it over and all sorts when he's already basically bought it. He never viewed and got cold feet last second so started mumbling about stupid sh*t. 1900 is cheap as sh*t for this thing and I've listed defects etc best I can, I've put a one day fixed offer out at that same 1900 and if that doesn't bite then I'll have to decide if I can be f**ked with more trademe dickheads and trolls or just say 2k firm and put it on the side of the road.

Pretty mad. Actually furious would be a better word, it's a sh*t tactic by a flaky person.

its an expected outcome of a trademe auction. relist as an auction with a buy now not $1 res. those who are genuinely interested will call and come to view prior to bidding or negotiating.

I did have my own doubts but on the phone I grilled him for answers and was satisfied. In the end it's just someone playing games with my time and happy to talk out their ass to do it.

I was originally going to go that route however I was so busy I didn't have much time to meet with people, the auction was set over my break period so I had time to meet with people and I could control the timeframe of that happening however it only took one to screw that up <_<

I've fixed the wipers, bonnet latch and all that stuff, only thing not working is the AC. The fixed price auction ends tonight but I'm still open to offers. I really want the driveway space more than anything. It's still one of the cheapest ones on there and not a complete pile of sh*t with a blown box or something. If someone wants something to convert to manual this is it, you need this car :D

Yes well I'm not quite sure where you would pick up a decent running E30 for a better price.

My grandmother tipped off a couple weeks ago and I've inherited her car to now which needs a clutch job, the E30 is kind of just in the way now cause I've got other cars to use. If someone is kind of a keen collector of these things I have a spare auto gearbox, rear window, front subframe and some other odd bits to could take with it for free if they wanted. Otherwise I'll offload on here cheap or scrap them. They'll just sit around rotting and in the way otherwise.

Just out of curiosity what was wrong with the wipers?

I have the exact same car and mine stop working intermittently on the first 2 settings.

inside the wiper motor it has little contacts that slide along copper strips that tells it how far to travel, eventually they either corrode or wear through, bending the contacts very slightly to the side to get fresh strip usually fixes it.

There is 2 or 3 things. As jason said the contacts die, they are in a greased area and eventually buildup or whatever causes bad contact. Another thing is the controller relay thing can die, it's K10? or something in your fusebox, big long thing with 5-7 pins on it. I changed mine out for another but no dice. The last thing is the plug contacts, mine were a bit oxidized, some cleaner stuff and a stiff brush sorted it out.

Mine was the disc in the wiper. I think it's a common issue. Getting the motor out to mess with it is quite a pain in the ass. But once you have the cover off you might as well also do the interior fan resistor while you're at it if it's acting up. I did all that and now all the sh*t that often doesn't work is fine.

I had another buyer kinda blow me off on the weekend. It's rather tiresome, I've relisted. I've been driving this car every weekend to the shop to work on my other cars, it doesn't skip a beat; driven it to hamilton and back a couple times to cause its heater is a godsend in the cold rain. No one keen at around 2100?

I have very good TM feedback, I don't want to really go lower than 2k because it's getting rediculous for a good running E30.
