kwhelan 241 Report post Posted October 19, 2013 After hitting a large pothole at highway speed with a full load of passengers and and almighty bang it was,a few days later I had a slow leak and took it in for puncture, rim is cracked in two places on the internal bead lip. Guy mentioned a local firm could grind it out and reweld has anyone had this done successfully, I don't fancy the chances of finding a matching rim
central3 31 Report post Posted October 19, 2013 People speak highly of this guy - I took a rim to him once but as it had been previously repaired he wouldn't take the job on - he threw a bit of a wobbly actually but could be worth a look depending on where you are http://www.rimrite.co.nz/about-theman-for-mags.htm

Certainly knows his stuff when it comes to fixing rims, has done a few for me over the years and been spot on every time. As you are in HB I would say he would most likely be the nearest to you as well, he is based just outside Palmy.
