liyi_92 37 Report post Posted October 31, 2013 http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-646056301.htm Members car? Not too familiar with E34s but is this priced too high? Kms are slightly higher than what I want but if condition is good then will be considerable. Those euro plates look like the ones Andy are selling? liyi_92 37 Report post Posted October 31, 2013 look at the condition of it,it tells the whole story. This car is nearly 20 years old you wont find one with many ks less. There is heaps and heaps of infor on the net re e 34s,here I don't really know how to look at the condition purely through photos. Clean and tidy photos does not mean it is always mechanically sound. I was posting it here in hope the owner is a member which would at least offer the fact he is more of an enthusiast over the average Joe which hypothetically would result in the car given a bit more care. I choose my cars by condition > mileage but paying around the 8.5k mark could also get me a E39 with lower kms. And as for the "not knowing much about them" I mean in terms of valuation as I have never really looked at them on the market before now and see a big variance in price hence asking. yng_750 247 Report post Posted October 31, 2013 would be totally worth that with a manual box. tbh he will probably not have a huge amount of trouble selling it, its in great condition
KwS 2425 Report post Posted October 31, 2013 IVe wanted to buy this a couple of times now, but the longer i watch it, the higher the price keeps going. Last year it was in the low 7K range, and has now jumped that high with no obvious changes or reason for the increase. Its a DAMN good looking example. From memory he's not very negotiable. Edited November 1, 2013 by -Alias-

liyi_92 37 Report post Posted November 1, 2013 (edited) It is one lovely looking car. Kinda tossing up between this and http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-652661454.htm as my next car. The E39 doesn't have the nice sport seats and has the ugly steering wheel though but pretty sure I could get in in the 7s range. EDIT: Had a look at the E39's photo and it has a Bimmersport plate surround on it?! Edited November 1, 2013 by andy_e39
KwS 2425 Report post Posted November 1, 2013 I wouldnt touch that e39 personally. Just ran the Vin, its not a motorsport model at all and according to the Vin it should be green, not black. http://www.bmwarchive.org/vin/bw71397.pdf

Guess I'll just wait for another nice example while waiting for my car to sell anyway.

Saw that too, nice looking example but that big bore "dumpy" exhaust is really unappealing to me, looks bad and the fact that its usually "boy racers" that put those kind of exhausts on. Well I was looking for the 'tongue in cheek, taking the pi$$' emoticon to go with that comment but its away on holiday due to over-use............. True, re 540 motorsport, which is why I put in the link for that one at 6.3k.........the guy with that E34 is dreaming...........
