Google is your friend, have a look on e30tech.com also. As sic has said... cheap, fast, reliable. Pick 2. Mine will get a major power upgrade (even if its in 3 years when i finish uni) but until then I'm just keeping it in good nick and slowly sorting suspension brakes etc, oh, and also learning to drive.
