gjm 3258 Report post Posted January 6, 2014 Delicious bit of irony. A/c belt arrived, no serpentine belts in country. Might be looking for a BnT in Manukau. I've used the one in Takanini a few times. They're pretty good.
Palazzo 477 Report post Posted January 6, 2014 Got it sorted at Manukau, Takanini a touch too far south. Cheers.
yng_750 247 Report post Posted January 6, 2014 (edited) Supercheap straight retail order in same day for auckland overnight everywhere else. Aircon $10.53 Alternator $21.93 Freight $6.95 Total for both $39.41 and still either bosch or mitsuba belts which are usually oem source so yeah just a repco issue by the looks assuming this is the 1998cc as everthing else looks to only have one belt for everything rather than the two seperate. gjm 3258 Report post Posted March 20, 2014 I purchased my entire engine rebuild from overseas. After freight and GST I saved around $1500 on $5000 worth of engine components. Performance shops in NZ are purchasing the parts for not much less than Joe Blogs can. Cut out the middle man who does nothing more than dip his fingers. But when it comes to standard parts I am pretty loyal to Gavin at Euro Italian. He just makes things so easy. Quick email and everything is done. For VW. Your only cheaper option is Qualitat. Ask for Shane and tell him Dan from the BMW forum sent you. Might be lucky to get a discount. He has put me off any VW and Audi for life though. The horror stories are just crazy. A lot later than planned, but I spoke to Shane this morning. Very, very helpful - thanks.
