westy 614 Report post Posted March 21, 2014 So, I need a key cut. Looks like this... Want to have it cut so fits the boot lock, no programming or anything just a straight cut. Anyone have any better/cheaper ideas than $55?

westy 614 Report post Posted March 21, 2014 Yeah, should explain more thoroughly, key has been sent to me (the one in the pic) and I have been to a lock smith for pricing (I get it matched to the one I have here and send it off with the boot lid). $55 seems over the top, (selling the boot lid for $50), but then I am a cheep bastard. allan 295 Report post Posted March 21, 2014 Did the person ask for the lock and key? As he could swap his old one and save himself the hassle of having one odd key or is their more to this situation than has been told.
westy 614 Report post Posted March 21, 2014 Yeah, his is stuffed. You should see what the po did to get the boot open ha.
jeffbebe 1559 Report post Posted March 21, 2014 Not sure it needs to be programmed for the boot, since you can open the boot even when the battery is unplugged. Surely you can just get a normal keycutter to do it for $10? Presumably the new owner won't be trying to start his car with it.
