m325i 709 Report post Posted November 14, 2005 (edited) why does it have a turbo timer? and what does evo 1 mean? more hits on TM? Edited November 14, 2005 by m325i
Ghost 0 Report post Posted November 14, 2005 (edited) why does it have a turbo timer? Eh? you guys are retarded  n00bs It's NOT turbo - I know nothing about SA 2.7's but I think its fair to assume with 197hp its not turbo, and CiLK is just messing with you. Search: Alpina C2 2.7... A lot of potential for that engine...thats going to be one quick car. Edited November 14, 2005 by Ghost

Guest Spargo Report post Posted November 15, 2005 I'm compiling a bit of info which should see bimmersport the doyen's of info for 325iS ('s), there's not alot out there (read: spread over about 4 forums). Its not turbo, i'm messing, it was a joke from the meet on sat. I'd like a run again both Andrews (only planning on losing once). Andrew with the white one, is yours an Evo 2 or 3? Its got modified 325i management, so its crying out for link.
m325i 709 Report post Posted November 15, 2005 I'd like a run again both Andrews (only planning on losing once). Andrew with the white one, is yours an Evo 2 or 3? Spose you'll be pretty shamed when you lose to a stocker/superior driving.
westy 614 Report post Posted November 15, 2005 Howd it go against the 328s? Did you get a chance to find out??
Guest Spargo Report post Posted November 15, 2005 Spose you'll be pretty shamed when you lose to a stocker/superior driving. I've had it for a month, so i guess that will burn. As I said, the henna will clean my clock, but from what i can see from factory figures, the Evo 1 is about half a sec quicker through 80-120 than the Evo 2/3 is, for whatever reason. He has more power too, so i'm not gonna be cutting my wrists over it. Losing to a stocker when mine is stock? Fine by me.Against the 2.8's? When Gus, you and I were up front, you only just started to pull away, but its not like you were disappearing. They're a quicker car, but not by alot. Gimme a bumpy cam and a good exhaust and we'll see.
Guest Spargo Report post Posted November 15, 2005 How does it go with 270,000km on the clock? Its just run in! It goes great, pulls hard everywhere, tappets are noisy as hell, but nothing to worry about. The engine came out about a month before i got it, and all the seals and gaskets got replaced, its got a new oil and water pump, new hoses, new belts, so basically its a slightly refreshed motor. It'll give me enought time to decide what i want to do with it, which is coming down to:2.9L high comp monster 2.7L low comp turbo or S series swap (S50 / S62 :drugs: ) Ash, all the weight is in the al panels, but there is some sound deadening missing. I don't know what it weighs for sure, but thats what the factory quoted, so its probaly more with 70kg of driver and 60kg of fuel!
WANTED325iM 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2005 I dunno what evo mine is, its a 1991 if that makes any difference. It goes well though 1147kg's according to the manual. I can't find any info about the SA 2.7's so don't know what the f**k it is. How much you pay for yours?
