E46 M3 Sump

Found out today that my M needs a new sump and oil filter housing gaskets

Team Mc milan think $1500 +, wanting anyones opinion if this sounds right etc.

Are the factory sumps baffled ? or would I be better off getting a baffled sump ? etc

The oil pump in the E46 M3 is dual pick up and the sumps are quite different to most BMW sumps. Give me a call on 021 449 242 and we can talk price. It's a long way short of $1500 I can tell you.

I also have the complete bottom end gasket kit.

The E46 M3 sump and oil pump are good upgrades for the E36 M3 B32 engines. I have some conversion kits.

Have a sump if needed. Did their price include gaskets,replacement sump and labour. if so what is wrong with your sump?

Its leaking oil and that whats they listed on the repair sheet that needs to be done, not sure if it includes the gasket, I would guess so ?

I honestly don't know, might have to come up have a chat so you can check her out. don't want to pay to replace the whole thing if it is just the gasket.

Don't you have to hit something hard to damage the sump?

I'd definitely get one of our sponsors/contributors to have a look at it before committing.
