Herbmiester 925 Report post Posted March 3, 2015 I have replaced the front arms, bushes and tie rods on my E36 but there is still a clicking sound coming from that general area I can only assume its my rack or my steering shaft? Any ideas what I should be checking for?
MLM 57 Report post Posted March 3, 2015 I asked a similar question a while ago and had this response. May help. http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/25853-steering-clunk/?hl=%2Bsteering+%2Bclunk Does it click once per revolution, or when loaded /unloaded, both directions of travel? Herbmiester 925 Report post Posted March 3, 2015 (edited) Thanks for that good information. It might be easier if its the rack as the steering column looks like a pain to remove. The noise is more like a click and it comes turning left or right, Edited March 3, 2015 by Herbmiester
