Mine was a LOT less than $25K and even after spending a few grand, I'm still a good $8K shy of spending $25K and would argue it is in just as good condition.

I hope you get what you want for it as it raises the bar on my car's value! But having spent a long time looking and now following 8 series I'd be very surprised if you get more than $15K unless someone buys it thinking it's a csi.

Sadly, 850s are just being overlooked in the market at the moment. A mint 840ci would probably fetch $20K+ and a csi $50K+ depending on condition.

meh... if the condition was perfect... you know... running well... nothing to spend.

I'd be interested if it was sub $20k. But it would have to be a wknd only car.

that is if I could get it in my garage. Which it can't. So i'm out.

But i see value in the wheels and CSI kit as that's how I would do it also. (maybe not those exact rims but pretty close). So for me i'd pay a premium to have those done already.

I'm sure there's some punter out there with the cash to spend on a 3rd / 4th wknd cruiser and would be happy to take it off him.

Finding that punter may take time.

Buy James'. Get a replica kit (replica car so who cares). Wheels of your choice. Have $15 left over to maintain/tidy/paint.

Just wrap it. That way when it is time to sell you can return it to standard.

One thing that devalues a classic is a repaint that isn't factory color.
