qube 3570 Report post Posted June 22, 2015 bought a secondhand sony headunit and wired it up. its all working and sounds great but one problem is that its not retaining any memeory, such as the clock. it would always reset to 1:00 after i turn off and start up the car. it had an existing pioneer headunit so the wiring swap over was easy but maybe it was done wrong from the beginning and i just didnt notice (i hardly used the existing stereo) from my brief google search it seems that its an issue with the acc wire and the 12v wire. the 12v is supposed to provide constant power while the car is off. strange, could the headunit be faulty? or an issue with the wiring?
