Hi all

I live in Melbourne and have since 1977, but grew up in Marlborough.

I have had a series of BMWs over the years, E21 323i, E28 528i, E54 X5 4.4i, E36 m3 3.0 (Avus Blue) and now another E36 M3 3.0, (Black) this one with 407,000kms which is steadily morphing into a track car.

All tech help and selling or swapping parts, especially engine parts, welcomed. I am building a spare S50B30 engine at the moment.

Take care,

Cheers

David

Awesome mileage! I'm nearing 500,000km on my s50b30.
Welcome, quite an impressive list of cars you've had.

LOL! Probably soon I think! I haven't been neutralised yet (Aussie citizen) but I am technically a 'preferred alien.' I'm hanging out to see what VW Aust do about my Diesel Golf......

how's the 500k engine going? Your's is the highest km one I've heard of.

Compression on mine was in the 190s with one cylinder at 170 when we woke it up after 3 years under a tree. All highway miles by one owner before I bought it about a year ago. Just about to refresh it over xmas.

Haven't done a compression test however on a dyno later in the day than another e36 m3 it made .4kw less, so she's pretty healthy.
