E46 330i - Lurches forward agressively

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have a 318i that has been converted to a 330i Manual and what i notice is that when in first gear especially but in any gear really when accelerating the car has a flat spot for a second and then goes straight to almost WOT. This make city driving a night mare, you have to really feather the throttle, i have driven another manual E46 328i and the throttle pedal is long and fluid an absolute joy to use comparatively.

I changed the following because needed to be changed anyways:

Oil Separator Kit - all associated piping and oil separator.

Disa Valve.

Cleaned out Throttle body.

I have inspected the intake boots and no spits or cracks.

Air filter.

Any ideas what this could be, what am i missing.

Cheers

Cable throttle? If so, sounds like a sticky or kinked cable.

That will throw a fault code.. no need to look.... you need to scan it
