Lucan 196 Report post Posted February 2, 2016 (edited) Possibly been covered before but looking for recent experience. I threaded the bolt on the outter ball joint on the control arm in one of my E30's. I re-threaded it to m12x1.5 to get the car rolling again but would like to replace it at some point. I see ball joints advertised on TM etc and enqured if they can press/pull for me, they cannot. So unsure who and if you even can press a new joint in? That's if I can manage to press the old one out? I assume a special tool would be needed. Anyone done this? Recommendations of who can? Or would it be better the replace the whole control arm? bravo 35 Report post Posted February 3, 2016 I can remember replacing the entire arm once. Wasn't expensive although that was maybe 10-12 years ago. Ask Gavin to price the whole arm as well in case it's simpler and not too expensive. Sent from my HTC_PN071 using Tapatalk
