Mystery M20B25 Head manufacturer

Need help to try and identify the manufacturer of this M20B25 head.

Bigger ports than OEM and only has this marking stamped on it:

[MLM 57]

seam to remember there where new m20 heads being sold on trade me a while back , not a bmw part

Hello,

Thank you for your post. I've the very same head from Kolbenschmidt (now Kolbenschmidt KSPG).

I've the head off the engine for now to replace the valve seals. I was thinking about replacing the whole head by an original 885 with a porting job as I have a 2.8 stroker.

Now you are telling that the ports are bigger.

I've no reference to compare but it looks very much like the AMC casting (which flows less than the 885) so I'm not sure.

So maybe I should keep this head. Any further information ?
