NUSTAD 243 Report post Posted June 10, 2016 Lucky to get a golden ticket to the M festival at Hampton Downs today. Got to drive the M2, M3, M4, M5, M6, X5M and X6M......a few laps on the short new circuit, some gymkhana and braking exercise/comps and the 3 laps of the main circuit in each car. Soggy conditions but still given chance to give them their head. M2 a hoot and the engine a real sweet mill. M3 instantly felt special - my pick of the day. Wanted to like the M5 more but sound not as inspiring and a handful in the wet! Got the itch now........ Very lucky boy....

my_e36 43 Report post Posted June 10, 2016 Friend was there and he felt the same. M2 is super nimble around the track, the M5/6 are too heavy and quite a handful in the wet. He also picked the M3 over everything else. Lucky boy. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk

NUSTAD 243 Report post Posted June 10, 2016 why is it that they praise the m2 but pick the m3? what the catch? what am i missing? haha Good question....... I am an old duffer so liked that the M3 was a bit more grand tourer than go cart. Prefer the interior of the M3 and the engine has more character in the upper rev range. M2 engine turbine smooth but doesn't sing to the same degree.
