Albertouy 1 Report post Posted November 19, 2016 Hi community, I'm posting this because I recently bought a 318 e30 and I was wondering how to squeeze an extra hp from here and there. And I was thinking to raise the compression. I think these cars came with about 9:1 compression and I was thinking to get up to 10-10.5:1 if possible. Has anyone done this before??. Cheers

NZ00Z3 189 Report post Posted November 21, 2016 The general wisdom from the Z3 world, to get higher HP out of the M44 is best done by fitting a supercharger. Best bang for your buck. Remember that fitting a super charger in N.Z will require certification.

Both single cam unlike the M44. Haven't heard of many people doing much to 318is. The M10s are sometimes turbo'd and the M40s have a chip available for the ecu (the race series uses it).
