Who do you use for shipping to the US?

I have to send some packages to the US but I'm looking at about $750 for shipping if I go through nzpost. I've looked at UPS or Fedex but they are about the same or more.

 

Has anybody found a cheaper option for shipping?

Mainfreight or similar? But depends on volume, weight and air or sea? What do you need?

I've got a couple of boxes that are roughly 70cm x 70cm x 60cm and about 28 kg. I'll be needing to get them to Kansas. Just trying to find a cheaper option to get them there at present.

Sea freighting that should cost less than $150 I'd think... my suspension at ~27kg, similar volume was quoted less than $80 for LA -> Auckland.

Give Mainfreight a call (I'm not recommending them specifically but I'm not sure who all the others are).

It's looking more and more like regular post is going to still be the cheapest option.

So far everything else I've looked at will be over $1200.
