Homy.D.Clown 0 Report post Posted February 7, 2006 Well i think my RR shock is giving up he ghost...seems to have slumped even lower.. so its time to look for new shocks... just wondering what other people have....and what they think of their setup. already have lowered springs so if i could keep them that'd be cool...but for the right full on replacement i can go kamakazi with the visa -i mean i own a BMW...it means im rich....right? Carl 3 Report post Posted February 7, 2006 A bit subjective but what is the life expectancy of shocks, assuming you're running a sport type suspension on a regular basis??? The Koni site says that their sport adjustables are meant to be stiffened up over time to counter the sag so are adjustables better in that sense? Thoughts? (sorry , don't know if yours was coupe) Would you recommend koni's for replacement of BMW mtech shocks for E36 ?. If so which series of shock ?, Koni SA's as well ?. (other than matched shocks) I'd like to drop the ride height , but the driveway at our NZ house stops this. It's only go mm's to spare as it is now. Guest Andrew Report post Posted February 11, 2006 The Upside down ones have a major friction problem on the "shaft",, they stick and only let go with a reasonably deep bump. So they feel stiif as until they move then they feel soft. Have not had that issue at all with mine - then again mine only sees track usage and i haven't done more than 5000k on a set of shocks.
