LemonHunter 583 Report post Posted July 22, 2017 (edited) So google seems to think Alpina has touched a few X5's, but if this listing is the real deal, the fitout and price are lower than I'd expect, two badges and wheels do not an Alpina make? https://www.trademe.co.nz/1377092420 fairly sure they were 4.6L till 2003 then 4.8L http://www.alpina-archive.com/?page_id=214 Edited July 22, 2017 by EURO V12
gjm 3258 Report post Posted July 22, 2017 I think they were 4.4 (M62) from 2000-2003, then the N62 from 2004-2006. The 4.6 (M62, Alpina-derived) was available from 2001-2003, then the N62 version from 2004-2006. After that the 4.8 became available. From what I've heard, the 4.4 was a bit of a workhorse, and the 4.6 was intended to be more sporty.
LemonHunter 583 Report post Posted July 22, 2017 Interesting, should have an Alpina VIN plate though, my questions should prompt that to be uploaded or a defensive slurry. this has to be the cheapest Alpina ever if genuine.
Breaker 980 Report post Posted July 22, 2017 DQP512 you can just pic up on the reg sticker from one of the front shots. VIN: WBAFB32060LN83706 Nothing in the Vin for Alpina, not surprisingly as you called it, a fake.
