E... 55 Report post Posted May 17, 2018 Just pulled the motor out of my 318i. I'm still in two minds whether I fully shave the bay? or just remove brackets and sand off the silicone. Have seen threads of this done. Has anyone on here done it already or has the expertise? The bay will be getting repainted regardless.
gjm 3258 Report post Posted May 17, 2018 I really like the look of a 'clean' engine bay, but can foresee issues if you need to change something! Perhaps drawstrings are incorporated in the looms hidden away? I've not done this, but will 'follow' your thread to see what advice there is.
