this is the way it is meant to be

 

they have a reverse lockout solenoid on them, that only activates from 0-10 kmph. this makes it easy to get into reverse whist stationary and makes it near impossible to get it into reverse of you are traveling over the set speed where it de-activates the solenoid

It is to stop people going into reverse by accident because 5th and reverse are quite close together

Sweet man. Buddy with a Ls1 in a 46 told me the same. My eager-to-test-drive brain never register that on sat morning🤯🤪

Came in early, wired and mounted...can make it adjustable for heel/toe  demands....but shes looking  and feeling well corona distanced..

Panel'd abit to get the air filter lower....will check clearances after coil overs, cut and weld or panel for more space for air box. REALLY looking forward to designing the cold air induction🤗🤗.shift horns to right side and like to duct CSL style😍😍

Need to  take off 15 20 mm off air filter side..

Tiny back and forward drive with acc pedal fitted, air filter connected and battery in boot 🤗🤗clutch is super soft bit yet feels so aggressive..touch of the 530 nm. Accelerator distancing seems fine too. ...and softness with the dbw

About 30 % throttle...

ABSOLUTELY CRAZY. !!!no traction.  Love it!!! Not m0re than say 35 %throttle...40 max and she spins loose as...all windows closed... No screeching of tyres....just sizzle..no even dancing...just spin....MENTAL.!! 2nd test drive...and..spinning... WHat a feeling guys, finally a car that feels Insane to drive. ...well..shes still stock.  So Pleased!!

Interior tidy up, need to research wiring shave. Will cut off heaps of unused metal.and remove deadnings. Got some spare clear acrylic sheet for the doors. 

👨‍🏭.want her light as can be.

I have a bunch (maybe 6) of beaten up coupe front doorcards you can have for free if you need anything off them.

Taking the secretary for a spin. Took a mate earlier, gave abit more in 2nd, just pulled one way and spun, put it in 3rd, gave gas hard, spun in 3rd, tapped off, eased abit , the more hard car just rocketed ..WOW. DOESNT FEEL LIKE A STOCK ENGINE. even the sound!!

What size and brand tyres are you running on the rear?  You might have to widebody to get a big enough tyre under the guard to get you better traction

I drove it like an animal to spin brru. 

I do have some baby 215s old Pirellis on the Rk003s 18×8.5 8.5 kgs rims at rear. Going to opt for 255 40, something cheaper cos smoking& raw instant power was part of the essence of the build. Would like to go 17×10/11 after cam with no alterations of the guard. Like the stock look. 1 major stuff up was hitting that guard🙄i could of made it fit but I was rushing. I hate it!! And will fix it soon. I wont alter the stock look unless i really have to homs.  I will take you for a spin soon. Shes Insane brru....as the last guy i took for a drive  said more than 8- 10 times. 😂

Hooked up fuse box and some wiring..got Ignition and engine starts from key, window opens, fuel gauge an speedo works, alarm works, need to hook up front lights, no signal from Ls ecu for oil, temp, ecu light etc...have to chat with guy who did the loom

No pic...making some coffee tables for wife..

Oh and made 8mm spacer to align gearbox and driveshaft..

Fitted the spacer....had to modify a spanner....box and shaft square, no minor vibration anymore...car feels so solid...started pushing her. Took her to 100 kph...
