isis 16 Report post Posted March 21, 2006 that's no use to me..hoping they'd be a place up here in ack. anybody else?
bumpstop325 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2006 Ask where they get thier keys cut. then take it their to get a spare one. Or ring up key cutters and ask them if they do BMW keys. Just make sure they work before you drive off. There's no use in getting a key cut if it doesnot work.
Jazzbass 1 Report post Posted March 22, 2006 I'm just suggesting that if locksmith security firms do it here, they should also do it Aucks? Try the yellow pages - Locksmiths and Key Cutters
my_e36 43 Report post Posted March 22, 2006 What year is your e36? Earlier ones doesn't not have a computer chip inside they keys. If my memory is right, the change over was in 1995. If you are not sure, look under the key cyclinder, it has a really small box that says EWS. If you have that, your key need a chip (i.e. dealer or special places only). If not, then you should be able to cut the key anywhere. Pix shows looking up from under the steering wheel.
