E30stz 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2006 the deadlocking feature i believe is not something you can get around if you want to use it with your keyless entry. You'll have to unlock it with the key each time.

slasH 4 Report post Posted March 22, 2006 (edited) any1 know a certain model with the paging (monitoring) feature, can i keep the deadlocking system as well with this certain alarm system? i wouldnt mind unlocking the doors with the key all the time, just like this feature because if the glass was broken there would still be trouble getting into the car to shut alarm off etc .. does the bmw company produce a alarming system?? Guest Andrew Report post Posted March 22, 2006 welcome people - slash - would of thought your car would of come with the alarm system (from BMW). It immobilises the car and locks the deadlocks.
E30stz 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2006 glass break sensors are affected by tinted window film as you can smash a window with much less noise. Some companies offer to pay your excess if your car gets stolen with there alarm in it (i think autowatch) but if you have tints I believe that offer is voided. bravo 35 Report post Posted March 22, 2006 With dynatron any model can have the paging function added - it is an optional extra - get the alarm with the basic features you want and add the paging feature - they have a website - go look for yourself. rolls_on_19 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2006 Also. Doesn't the deadlocking unlock when you use the inside door handle???
slasH 4 Report post Posted March 23, 2006 nope it stays locked if it was locked from outside, (key) but opens up when locked from inside (pushing the lock down) i guess dynatron is the way to go. Thanks.

hybrid 1043 Report post Posted March 23, 2006 (edited) I run a alarm system with SMS paging, I can control the car from my phone. Bloody handy. If its stolen I can shut the engine off remotely via text message (if they ever managed to get it started ) Edited March 23, 2006 by hybrid
