325_driver 422 Report post Posted July 28, 2019 So I dropped a very handy 1/4" socket and extension under the abs unit. It's deep, so will need to lift it up. Can this be done without having to remove the hydraulic lines? Don't want to go through the bleed procedure over it Or should I say good bye to it lol

325_driver 422 Report post Posted July 28, 2019 Thank you it's tight in there, might need some one with smaller hands too!
M3AN 4016 Report post Posted July 28, 2019 Get a telescopic magnet...
325_driver 422 Report post Posted July 28, 2019 Socket located! With a bit of wiggling the ABS it fell out from under and backwards where i could grab it. @M3AN I am eyeing them up at the moment - I had a big magnet save my butt during the CCV job, but realized today that i need something extremely nimble. Any specific ones that have a strong but small magnet end? The reviews im reading for ones are quite mixed for weak magnets. Thanks heaps again! M3AN 4016 Report post Posted July 28, 2019 (edited) They don't need to be that strong. Start with one from the $10 tool bin before you make a bigger investment. Edit: if the magnet is too strong or large it will attach to everything you don't want it to and make it impractical to use.
